Job Description

We are currently working with a fast-expanding plant-based manufacturer who is looking to hire a Business Development Manager to be based in Singapore.

If you have at least 5 years of sales experience within the Food industry, and have a strong network of customers/ suppliers within Asia, this role could be for you!


  • Procure clients interested in purchasing our plant-based proteins.
  • Identify potential brand partners for contract manufacturing collaborations.
  • Source corporate clients seeking contract production of plant-based products.
  • Contribute to the investment team, focusing on investing in alternative proteins and sustainable companies.
  • Identify, assess, negotiate, and oversee opportunities aligning with business processes, contributing to both short-term and long-term organizational goals.
  • Analyze data, prepare reports, and provide recommendations to management regarding the business and financial viability of alternative opportunities.
  • Gather feedback and competitor data from the market, offering insights to business lines, solution creation, and product life cycle management.
  • Plan and deliver presentations to clients, strategizing on the most effective approaches.
  • Formulate strategies for approaching clients and explore new business opportunities within the region.
  • Identify trends, develop innovative ideas to enhance sales strategies and operations.
  • Analyze results and implement improvements to optimize overall processes.



  • Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field.
  • Demonstrate a background in the food industry and a willingness to expand knowledge in the plant-based and alternative protein sector.
  • Working with Food Ingredients will be an added advantage.
  • Proficient and adaptable in preparing PowerPoint presentations.
  • Exhibit outstanding communication skills, enabling effective interaction both internally and with external organizations.
  • Prior experience in sales and marketing is highly encouraged.
