Job Description

The Head of Supplier Operations will manage all contract manufacturers and extended factories. You will be leading the sourcing of new assembly and a team of close to 20. This position in critical in defining strategy and sharpening the portfolio for Contract Manufacturers to reduce costs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Malaysia plant, managing the contract manufacturers, sourcing and assembly.
  • Develop a strong contract manufacturing supplier base.
  • Oversee sourcing of assembly and integration.
  • Manage the implementation of changes with contract manufacturers.
  • Act as the escalation point for assigned suppliers in other departments (e.g., Purchasing, Quality).
  • Conduct spend analysis for both direct and indirect spend related to assigned commodities.
  • Perform market research for relevant commodities.
  • Develop and align contract manufacturing strategies with key stakeholders.
  • Implement supplier strategies and agreements to meet business requirements.
  • Lead supplier relationships and engagement for assigned suppliers.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in support of overall supply chain goals.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the field.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in supply chain, with a preference for engineering or procurement engineering with capital equipment knowledge.
  • Proficient in Material Resources Planning (“MRP systems”).
  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Collaborative teamwork across various functions within Supply Chain, including purchasing, warehouse, spare parts, manufacturing engineering, quality, and engineering.
